Dear Waldringfielders.
The Dairy Farm Marsh Bird Reserve is currently being transferred from the previous trustees to myself and my brother. We have been made aware of the villagers' concerns regarding the gorse along the river bank and it's possible impact on the effectiveness of the flood defences. I have sought various approval from both Natural England and The Environmental Agency and it has taken me a long time to get this far with the planning of this matter. I am very aware just how much the villagers want this vital maintenance to be completed ASAP. The specialist organisations that have consulted with us on this, inform me that we only have a very small window of a couple of weeks to get the gorse cut now this side of the new year.
I can now inform you that this work has been planned for Thursday 15th and Friday 16th October 2020. This will cause access restriction on the river wall and therefore we would politely suggest that you use an alternative route just for these two days if at all possible. .
Many thanks,
Clive Butcher
